To: Fellow IT educators and professionals in Information Technology

We are seeking papers, panels, special session and workshop proposals for presentation at SIGITE 2008. We encourage submissions in areas relating to Information Technology education, applications, deployment, maintenance, IT-industry-academia relationships and related topics. We are seeking papers that deal with our roles as professionals, educators, and advocates for the effective use of Information Technology. Authors may submit more than one paper.

The abstract submission period is past but we are accepting full paper submissions. 

Dr Josef Sifakis

An EU-funded researcher at the French national centre for scientific research (CNRS) has been selected as one of three winners of the prestigious Turing award by the American Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). Dr Josef Sifakis is the first French citizen to be awarded the prize that is often described as the Nobel Prize for computing since its creation in 1966.
